Features
- Reports in Data Studio: Build charts, including pivot tables, right next to your dataset and save them as reports. A dataset can hold several charts, you can view a chart on its own with the new “Chart only” layout, and a new Reports page lists every saved report so you can open, search, or delete them.
- Combine JSON values in calculated fields: Calculated fields can now use individual values inside JSON data, such as a specific email address, and combine them with other columns.
- Journeys audience steps: Journeys can now add or remove contacts from a static audience. All audience pickers in Journeys now use one consistent picker, which can also create a new audience on the spot.
- Smarter SMS campaign setup: When you create or edit an SMS campaign, the phone field picker shows how many audience members have a phone number in each field. It also warns you when the saved field isn’t part of the selected audience.
- External Data overview: External Data now opens on a list of all your imported data objects, showing each one’s source and status, instead of only a list of sources.
- Easier record navigation: Records pages now show breadcrumbs with the data source, and the column menu has a new “Remove column” option.
- Clearer Data Studio messages: When a query fails, external users now get a clear, plain-language explanation and a short reference code for support instead of raw server errors. Queries that return no results now say so and mention any active filters. Large row and record counts now include thousands separators.
- Account selector improvements: The account and property selector now shows account and property IDs and has tidier spacing.
- Access updates without signing out: Changes to a user’s roles and permissions now take effect within minutes, so users no longer have to sign out and back in to see them.
- Refreshed navigation design (limited rollout): A redesigned app layout is available to organizations with the new navigation enabled. It includes a new top bar, a user menu with quick links to the knowledge base and support, an account switcher with search, favorites, and sorting, and a new side menu.
Performance
- Faster Data Studio charts: Charting tools now load only when a chart is shown. Very large pivot tables no longer freeze the page, outdated chart requests are cancelled, and resizing the chart is smoother.
- Faster audience loading in Journeys: The full audience list is loaded once and shared across Journeys, instead of being fetched again for each picker.
Bug Fixes
- Sign-in and session fixes: Links to a specific account now still work after signing in with SSO. Opening a link to an account you can’t access no longer causes an endless login loop. You stay signed in and see a clear notice instead. Each new sign-in now starts from a clean session, so details from a previous user’s session can’t carry over.
- Journeys audiences: Fixed the audience picker always saying “Unable to load audiences”, audiences missing from long lists, and unclear errors when saving a journey or creating an audience.
- Audience lists: Fixed sorting on audience lists and audience details, status icons that were missing or misaligned, and lists that showed outdated information while refreshing.
- Data Studio: Expandable view now explains why rows can’t expand when every column is grouped or summarized. Columns set aside while switching views no longer disappear from the Columns list. Saving a dataset no longer shows confusing “drifted from the saved snapshot” warnings.
- External Data: Inventory and other built-in data can now be opened from External Data without errors, and links between related records open in the right place.
- Currency display: Amounts under one dollar now show their cents instead of rounding to $0.
- Tables: Tables now respect the sort direction they are set to.
- Email templates: Fixed an issue where “Save and exit” could leave the page before saving finished.
- Dropdowns: Opening a dropdown no longer makes the surrounding page jump.
